Find the local TECH that TDK uses for warranty work and see what it may cost to bring back to life. I know I had a few issues with updating the firmware of 3 speaker box and they were pretty helpful............Heck give them a CROCK of a story and see if they'll go to bat for you! Good Luck

I'm going to tell them I got it for a christmas present and lost the power cord when visiting my relatives in Colorado for Christmas and they can't find it.....

Then let them know I have these "issues" that started happening.

Maybe I will end up with a good working TDK after dealing with the techs

Now I am excited to get it!

We will see what shows up. Maybe I am only getting the cardboard box for $69 shipped  :nonono:

If it "works" on batteries..... and volume knob is loose..... and when it plays sometimes there is static :dunce:

So, the only problems are that the volume knob is loose and there is poor AM/FM signal or AUX IN static? Hopefully it is just that it gets bad radio reception and I need a power cord.

I am very excited to see what I get

The detailed description clearly narrows it all the way down to "not working properly".
In other words anything could be wrong or broken, I hope it's the easier stuff to fix which would make this an excellent buy.

Funny they also state in description about volume pot being loose with static. Description sounds more like a 30 year old boomer  Sounds like someone really did not take care of this $300 new box :sadno:

Oh boy, I got my TDK today! :w00t:  Original packaging and accessories, even had the clear plastic film on the front   .

I solved the power cord issue  . We have some old printers here at work with power supplies on them that happen to be almost the same as the TDK needs!

TDK needs 18 volts and 1.6 amps
Power supplies are 18 volts and 1.1 amps
I know the amps are lacking on the power supply but I figured that less is better than more so I don't damage anything ;-) .

Plugged it in and sure enough, it works gooooood.

The volume pot is definetly broken and the knob doesn't switch to "OFF" and as of right now the radio works fine but plugging in the RCA line in didn't work..... I'll fiddle with it more later to see what's up with the line in or I just don't know how to make it work :dunce:  .

Just after buying the 2 speaker TDK, I saw someone selling a battery door for the 2 speaker TDK on ebay. I sent them a message asking if they had any other parts and sure enough he did! AV jacks, handle, strap hooks, VOLUME KNOB/BOARD, other knob and board, and the plastic sides. $20 shipped for all those parts he said! :w00t:  :breakdance:

SO, I have the replacement knob ready to go in. Total spent of $89 shipped and I can't wait to turn this MOTHA UP and really jam some tunes! :breakdance:

Well, I'm dumb :dunce:

I didn't have my audio source turned up high enough for the RCA inputs on the TDK.

Works FANTASTIC and I havn't even done anything to it!

Do you have the mini stereo to USB input cable that came with box? If so you may want to try that, it has more punch than the RCA inputs

AH, I didn't get the cords with the mini jacks on them. I got the AM/FM cords and the USB-to-IPOD cord.....

It's ok, sounds good.

Yah the white one. I found when I used that connection it was better than the red/white RCA connection.
