M90 door trim

I am trying to get a M90 with missing door trim from another country.

I read in one post by Reno that the m90 door cover/trim can be removed. Does anyone do this for azimuth adjustment? I am wondering how a M90 can lose the trim when it looks firmly attached; although it is definitely not glued. Is it as easy as cassette decks to remove?

I'll also need to come up with a replacement but I guess it'll be just clear plastic that will need to be painted.

Yes, attached - it is the clear plastic that seems to be part of the door but can actually get detached so you can access the azimuth adjustment.

It has a couple of gnarly hooks that hold it in place very securely...

This is it! It sounds like I will need to get up to speed on 3D printing - unless you already have the project and a printer and can print this for me, if it's easy enough?

The other option is a single clear pastic piece that can be painted and stuck with double-sided 3M tape, this would be the cheap version of it.

I have the bezel produced in black (nylon PA12). Also in grey fine detail resin (SLA). The black is stronger but the finish is not as smooth as the grey. You will need to finish the detailing, sanding or smoothing to arrive at the desired finish and paint it to match your M90. It is a tight fit and removing it requires a lot of force, not for the faint of heart. But as yours is already off, that's a non-issue. Still, fitment will need fine adjustments on the hook latch by carefully filing off a tiny amount at the hooked latches a few swipes at a time until you arrive at the fit you desire. I just did 2 or 3 mini swipes with a needle file but I have arthritic hands. If you got good hand and finger strength, this may not be an issue for you. The glass was custom cut and routed professionally and fit perfectly into the openings. Since it's sandwiched between the bezel and door, you probably don't even need adhesive, that's up to you. The bezel was also produced by professional 3D print outlets. You can't get this kind of result from home 3D print gear, those professional machines costs a quarter mil and up.

@aiwapanasonic, if you want these, send me a PM. But if you aren't in the USA, be prepared for shipping sticker shock. Nothing we can control about that, it is what it is. However, M90's are generally worth it to spend the money to make them whole again.
