Wow! VERY interesting stuff, Robb. The track lists are very close - but with some differences - compared to those on records 1 and 2 of the compilation that came out on Apple in a red gatefold sleeve and covers the single releases of the period from Please please me to Revolver, but this tape isn't on any western discography so one thing's for sure; even though I'm still feeling that the tape itself isn't an original, the sleeve matches that one in the link you posted and what you have there at least has some provenance though Atlantic never had the distribution rights anywhere so the original to this could be a licenced compilation - like the MFP ones I mentioned earlier - and as such seems pretty rare, though the undisguised C60 does let it down slightly, unless that turns out to be original too, which is doubtful, but I'd
love to be proved wrong 'cos I've been Beatles mad (OK, like half the world's population then..) since Mother listened to them from the very beginning and it must have been catching. lol.
Even so, it's great that you have something so uncommon, it would be well worth asking more at one of the many fora that cater for those with an interest in the Beatles and that's a lot of people with a lot of knowledge to draw from.
You get some excellent finds but that one slightly aged cassette tape, whether the tape itself is the real deal or a later replacement, has to be one of your most interesting objects yet!
Don't get me wrong, I like the mint Tonkas and the bargain radios but this little cassette has me really fired up!
