OK. I'll bump this, since Fatdog brought it up (

As a kid I hated my name. I got tired of spelling it, explaining it, and then having it butchered (I guess I should surround myself with more intelligent people). Four little letters: Aram. It's not Adam, Aaron, or Armen.
When my brother and I were kids, my brother suggested that I try a different name. Something that I didn't have to spell every single time I introduced myself. He said I look like a "Lou." Then he spelled it "Lew."
The "Super," that came a little later. As a kid I was always taking things apart to see how they worked (much to the dismay of my old man). As I got older, I figured out how to put things back together. Friends used to drop things off for me to fix. Things like stereos, guitars, snowmobiles - You name it. People started calling me "The Doctor" or "Dr. Lew." Then I started installiing car stereos in my parents garage (again, to the old man's dismay). A buddy from school dropped off a salvaged flood car '92 El Dorado and asked if I could put a stereo in it. I said, "Hell no! This thing's junk! Cut your losses and scrap it - Quick before my Dad gets home."
I ended up taking on the smelly brain-numbing (factory premium sound) project and got it done in 3 nights. From that day forward he called me "Superman," though I felt more like "Sampson and Son" with nausia.
Put the two together and you get
superlew!
BTW: It's pronounced A-rum (Adam - D + R = Aram)
Congratulations if you read the whole post. Hey, ask and ye shall receive.
