Just wait, Nick. We really do show quite a bit of hospitality, especially in the South.
Some Americans, especially former service members, have traveled a lot. But we have more than our share of folks who never get out of their backyard.
Let me add that I have yet, despite some extensive travel, to have a bad experience overseas. Except for that time in Greece when tanks rolled and the government fell...or maybe that time in Rome when the El Al counter got shot up a bit...but by and large people are people i.e. the're pretty much the same wherever you go.
Although I must admit, Nick, that you may be saddend by how much we resemble Europe in that the skinheads never seem to really go away...
