had several of those Reli and i agree, the aiwa nsx 999 mark 1 was the best though on big speakers it could be heard miles away....i think it was rated at 170w rms p/c but they were built shite and only lasted a couple of years

My best mate had an NSX-999, beast of a hi-fi, but sadly died after his brother used it as an amp for a house party at full volume all night. I have the speakers in my lock up, I used them on my Yamaha dolby amp when it was all set-up

The worst thing about those AIwas was that every time you turned them on, the tape heads clicked and the CD tray rotated, putting unnecessary wear on the system. Plus the super-tweeters on the 3-way speakers produced no discernable sound lol.

i had mine on a set of twin 12" peavy and nearly blew them on half way lol

I have looked at the manual dan she is only rated at 150w.....the loudest 150w i have ever heard lad, total mickey mouse but ohh what good times i had with one of these :thumbsup:

Type in aiwa nsx 999 on the search bar, there are a few for sale dude but you would need to travel....mine came off ebay at a premium price but the guy claimed it was fully serviced and to be fair it's fully working....i want to connect her to my twin 15" speakers but if i do that i think the police will come for a visit lol
