I remember back in 1994, I got a $400 Aiwa shelf system and my roommate was playing around with it, cycling thru all the preset EQ's, Surround settings, X-Bass, BBE (Aiwa's treble enhancement), and he spent like 10 minutes all frustrated because he couldn't find anything he really liked lol. The look on his face was very unimpressed. The rear surround speakers were a joke, because this was before true 5-channel surround was available, so they just bleeded off a couple watts worth of standard 2-channel sound to those dinky little rear speakers lol, it was pathetic.

had several of those Reli and i agree, the aiwa nsx 999 mark 1 was the best though on big speakers it could be heard miles away....i think it was rated at 170w rms p/c but they were built shite and only lasted a couple of years

kenwood make fantastic food mixers lol

I see where you are going with this, but its not the same Kenwood!

Always liked Akai stuff, my grandad had a FD-3 system when I was a kid, had a sliding record deck at the bottom, single cassette with Dolby and a removable remote control. Wish I knew what happened to it, they seem to be pretty rare.
