Back in 2016 I bought this JVC 3090EN off Reli. It got some use at the start, but it always needed a refresh. A super clean survivor. I'm pretty certain it had never had the deck or amp board pulled. All the screws had that new box 'CRACK'. I still appreciate JVC color coding the screws, putting arrows on the back of the box so you know what screws need to come out and what can stay. I did go through the steps to power down the CRT, but this radio hadn't been plugged in in a few years, so there was no discharge.
All in, 4.5 hours to open, pull the deck and locate the only two belts, an hour and 20 minutes of that was going to a tech friend for a belt. Cleaned all the knobs and switch gear, back together and working first time around.
I think the hardest part was detaching the soft door opening linkage. What a PITA. Got it done.
I do have a small TV broadcast tester, so I can put something on the screen, but I need to look for it.
Full HOW TO re-belt here
