What is damaged? I have one M70 that I would consider a parts box. Maybe we could use that to fix yours up when you and Skippy come up to my place.

Packaging: 10+ layers of small bubble wrap, 10+ layers of tape , and a box. If it had peanuts it probably would have been ok....

Large bubbles are the only way to go with the large boxes. And sometimes when they wrap things up too tight it transfers the shock to box instead of absorbing it. Let us know what the damage is... hopefully it is not too bad...

BTW Joe, ebay stood behind that $850 purchase I mentioned that arrived damaged a few weeks ago. Once I gave up trying to deal with the seller and escalated it to a claim yesterday it only took a couple of hours before ebay found in my favor. The seller did a poor job of packing. His "double boxing" was just two pieces of cardboard taped to the side of the boombox. The seller wrapped the box in many many layers of 3 mil plastic, but really what was that supposed to do?? There was not enough bubblewrap, a few packing peanuts that worked their way to one side, providing no protection and the flimsy "Chinese" or "Ceiling Fan" box did not help either. I believe he had good intentions, but the execution was not there. Even though the seller stated that he would not accept returns I get to send it back to the seller, and he can deal with it. I will get a full refund, including shipping to me, I just have to cover shipping back to him. Still I would rather have had the deal work out, but what can you do...

Damn Spud - that would be horrible to happen but it is good you got the refund. They all try to make you think that it will be safe but then you find out that they really have no idea how to keep these protected.
