I decided a while back that I wanted to do a sticker-boombox. But the next thing was to do a theme for the stickers, I wasn't after a random sticker box look.
I want to do a a full Garbage Pail Kids sticker box eventually (as in the whole box covered) but for my next project I decided to use 80s u.s radio station stickers.
I've been collecting these for about a year now and have a decent collection with more on the way, probably not enough yet, but getting there.
There are two big questions though, and they're both related to each other: Which box? and Where to apply them?
My initial thought was to do the sides top and back of the box, leaving the front stock. But now I'm thinking there might be a box that has enough real estate on
the front to do something there.
This means that I need to find a box with very flat sides, which is harder than it sounds. I've been going through mine and most boxes have long corrugations on them or other angles. I don't need it to be perfectly square of course. The ideal box would be something like the wood cheeked Nationals as they're flat and large around each side, but thats not an option really. The GF-777 or a variation there of would be perfect too, especially as the grills could get stickered too. VZ's have a large amount of sticker space on the fronts, and sides, but the back isn't conducive to it, and the 2000 dosen't have a top side either.
So, what boxes can you guys suggest for this? Open to all suggestions and ideas!
And if you u.s rockers can suggest any radio stations by name that I can hunt for it would be MOST appreciated.
Rock On.
