....and recently was thinkin'....
....that I might want to turn it into....

THE SHOOTING STAR, from Speed Racer
....a black nose & stripe up the middle....9's on the hood and doors....

Years before the start of the series, Rex had a falling out with Pops after wrecking the Mach One (the first car Pops ever built) at the end of his first race as a professional driver (seen in flashbacks throughout the series). Racer X drives the number 9 car, the Shooting Star. "

I wanna turn this car....

The MACH 4 ! ! !
Look at them....they're practically begging for it...
NOW.....Once all these stages have been completed....I will begin the long and arduous task of petitioning Parliament (The Wife) for the REAL MACH 5
....on grounds that ! ! ! ! !....
...."We Must Complete The Set!"
