And how many of you have purchased new vinyl in the last year. When i say new vinyl i mean a new release on vinyl.

At home I listen to vinyl about 80% of the time.
As for new purchases................... Probably only about 4 or 5 in the last year, I tend to go for original pressings where I can get them. I've got a rock solid contact in one Sydney's best second hand record stores too, so any hip hop comes up, he puts it behind the counter for me look at before they hit the shelves ;-)

and with an LP12 - there's no other medium to match it

I'm awaiting the new Beastie Boy LP in the post - which I preordered in April
I get everything NEW or OLD on vinyl

then tape it for my car, walkman or BOOMBOX

Wow, nice record collection, in total I have enough to fill only one of your cubes there.
Slowly getting there.
I listen mostly on the weekends.

I got 20 FULL cubes at the moment

But that's a bad thing

Because the missus knows when more vinyl arrives in the house - I got CUBE overspill

I just got back in to vinyl about 2 or 3 years ago and since then I listen to it at least several hours a month. I can thank my father for saving my 60 to 70 records when I tried to sell them at a Garage sale about 25 years ago. Since then I've slowly started building a collection and currently have somewhere between 400 to 500 records.

I've looked at and almost bought a few new pressings but haven't done it yet, my whole collection is vintage.

Does anyone else think Nick looks like Terrence Trent D'Arby?

I listen to vinyl almost every day and I have a couple of hundred records, my last new vinyl album purchase was in the mid 90's, Soundgarden - Super Unknown, Still sealed, I've never played it. I buy vintage records every weekend lately, when they look clean and it's music I like.

My last 45 purchase was Regurgitator - I've Sucked a Lot of C*ck (to get where I am). I had it about 12 months and all the boys autographed it for me, I've never played it.

I have about 450-500 tapes. I play them all the time.

I havent released a vinyl record since 2003. I think tho i would like to do one more. I have been speaking with a ton of people lately . So many of the smaller labels that released vinyl during the last ten years have either folded or gone on to do strictly digital downloads. I talked with a friend in the uk a while ago and they were telling me one record store closes every day now. My friend jack has a amazing record collection with literally thousands of lps. The last new vinyl record i got was from a band in the uk called the savage furs.

Listen as often as I can. Wifey hates it but I love the old feel and sound. Slowly build that collection.
