Tore this unit down last month to clean it up, polished every piece of chrome on this sucker and gave it a good bath!
Sprayed the speaker grilles semi-gloss black, they were originally charcoal colored..
Still need to order a tire for the lower deck for it to be working 100%

Thanks! It's the box I was referring to in your thread when I said the speaker grilles were the same as the ones on your Pearlescent Sharps...

Yes it was dirty neglected, but at least cosmetically in excellent shape! I could even tell from the Epay photos that it needed some "elbow-grease" cleaning...
I got it some time last summer, but still occasionally used it..
Here's a pic of it on Thanksgiving, just outside jamming the Classic Rock station and enjoying the warmish weather we had that day!

There are certain radio's that when you look at them, there is just something that is pleasing to the eye and this radio has that.

This has the switches and knob set up like my GPX-990, LED's and tuner like the Toshiba, speaker grill's like the Sharps and of course those classy stacked Helix decks.

What does your "knob polishing" technique consist of? Woops, I mean chrome polishing  .

That's one sweet looking box you have there and a great job you did on the deep clean. Another to add to my "some day, I'll have one of those" list.
