Someone has to do an "Alien Autopsy" on this DJ Tech DJ boombox for the new and exciting boombox that is "in the works".

We can only make it better!

It wouldn't be hard to beat it........Better wood, bigger compartment, bigger drivers, more power........but then it wouldn't cost only $249. I doubt they made much profit on it, if any, considering the design costs and because they haven't sold very many, compared to big brands like Sharp. I mean, it only has 3 reviews on Amazon including mine.

Mel and I did a tag-team video, and I played around with it in Movie Maker.....first time user! Had fun splicing in some music and captions here & there. I challenged myself to reduce it to 10 minutes or less, and I did it!

Yeah it does sound like a 3-piece... there's no vents on the back, and the mids aren't brash like a 1-piece

Im gonna do a side by side with the Exos 9 and the DJ Tech when it arrives, but Im not good with specs and all the technical talk Lol, so my comparison "review" will be minimal compared to Reli and Melvin's.

Yeah it's weird, they didn't sell many. They were also going to make a white one too, but apparently changed their minds. Maybe due to low sales?

I regret not buying one earlier, we could have "saved" it from premature extinction

My initial plan was to install a 7ah but space and concern about too much added weight made the choice of a 5ah a better option. The added battery time and 2lbs of added weight were well worth the upgrade.

Yeh it was me. I was able to take battery time from 5-6 hours to 14-18+ hours. A huge improvement.

400+ recharging and a min of 14 hours will add up to 5600 Hrs of total battery life!


We should dig into our 80s "REAL boomboxes" , find some space and do this battery modification also.
