I Am Legend
extreme sad day --
a bunch of athletes train all year long to run the 26 miles --they bring their families and friends
to support their efforts and to enjoy the race -

then some scumbag (S) tries to murder them

My step mom qualified for the Boston Marathon this year but didn't have enough money to make it out there. Now I'm glad she didn't go. My aunt was there last year. Identical twins and always loved running.

1) Shocked
2) Sad
3) Angry
4) Still sad.

I was working in Cambridge, about 2 miles away, when it happened. I got a phone call immediately from one of the drivers to tell me what had happened and to make sure I wasn't in the area. I shut off the TV around 5:30 and busted out the soldering iron to distract myself.
Today I find myself angry. I can tell you this: When they catch the loathsome fecal creatures that did this, they had better keep them far far away from the locals. There's a reason we're referred to as "Massholes." :evilmad:

As a former member of our US military...I am always shocked, saddened, and angry. My heart breaks for the deceased and their families, my heart cries for the ones who survived who will have to deal with this hellish nightmare.

I have been all over this planet, survived situations I'm not at liberty to discuss, and have seen the bad, the ugly, and downright sick. But it pains me to continue seeing this on our HOME TURF! I don't care who it is, what the agenda was, or why those involved were driven to this madness in the first place. This stuff happens because as a nation we have gotten weaker. There was a fear of doing this kind of thing because at one time everyone knew that you would be found and dealt with. Now there is no fear because if you are caught you'll flounder around in the system and get treated better than the homeless while bureaucrats waffle around the issue.

Your damn right we shouldn't live in fear. But that's what is being pushed. Run, hide, don't come out, be careful.

What have we as a nation become. :-/ :evilmad:

It's a sad state of our once strong and united country.

You have a mentality of people that have nothing to lose Another that believes they will be rewarded in the afterlife and others who since birth have been taught to hate us....

As a country....these words have always stood strong to me.

:agree: . On a more terrifying note, I attended a first responders training (one of many) a few years ago. This was a closed meeting. We were warned that with the threats of I.E.Ds becoming more popular, to keep in mind that the next 911 style attack could come as attacks on Railroad cargo trains. There are some horrible & nasty chemicals that travel on rails right through densely populated residential and commercial areas. So frightening to think of the back yards, schools, downtown areas, etc. that these travel through. ALL these cars can detonate, mix with other chemicals, etc. We were trained on evacuations, how far too, or shelter in place procedures based on several factors. Something to keep in mind. (as if We don't already have enough to fear). Just a little 411.

our cops and our first responders are mostly great -
but our justice system has huge gaps -

this younger brother killer who may live --can cause a 20 year trial period -
and/ or walk free --
claiming he knew nothing --and was just carrying the bag as big brother asked him to do............
the older brother cant deny that as he is already dead --

Just want to say that I am so happy that no residents were harmed and that they got him alive (but he's certainly not kickin'). Everyone from Boston, Greater Boston, Eastern Mass, and New England are relieved to get back to some sort of routine. My heart goes out to the families that were directly affected.
On a lighter note: If this was a GTA sequence, this POS would have 11 stars! :police:

Here in Tampa the politicians passed a bill for law enforcement to use drones on a limited basis. Leaves you to think what is really behind this decision.

I'm glad they caught one of them, sad that this young man got influence into doing harm to innocent people. I ask the big guy up in the heavens when is he coming to deal with this crazy world we live in.

This world is changing day by day and we still don't see the big picture, we must get closer to our creator and to our loved ones. Theres so much hate in this world its like a freakin' cancer!

Man will never understand, man will be his own enemy, man will eventually destroy himself and for what! You would think with all the past wars and atrocities man would learn.

I think a lot of police agencies already use them, for following a fleeing suspect, reconnaissance before they serve a warrant, etc. It will be a long time (if ever) before they carry weapons, since those types of drones are military/CIA only.

Personally I see this country becoming like the old East Germany in a couple decades if we're not careful.

I don't watch the news.. I don't have time to care about people I've never met..
Call me insensitive, but I have enough problems in my life.. I don't feel the need to know how the next man is living..
Probably why I have no interest in gossip, I don't need to know your business so stay the f__k out of mine!
That being said, people are bound to die one way or another.. you can't stop it, only survive as long as you can!
Being hit by a car, heart attack, or bomb.. Tomorrow is not guaranteed! Live for today....

( R.I.P-MCA )?

Empathy is a gift. I know that all I have to do to keep it is to give it. Rest in peace Adam Yauch and all those who are taken from us too soon, by car, heart attack, bomb or cancer. Peace.
