I can't speak for them, but prelaunches generate anticipation and a list of leads the company can follow up with when the kickstarter begins. That way they can send reminders to everyone. Better than just announcing a kickstarter and hoping people see it. It's also a good way to discover how many people want each color. If very few people want a particular color, they might consider cancelling it.

Hmm. The discussion area is still there for me.
Yes in the link you provided it is there. Once I registered, I only saw the 3 choices of colours and no link to the discussions for some unknown reason. I don't know why I couldn't see it before but the link you provided DOES have it so thanks I appreciate it:thumbsup:

Testing it at the park, sound travels very well. It's not a screamer like classic boomboxes, this has deep, rich sound. Woofers have rubber surrounds and are encased individually. There is no distortion and no sound bleed. Vocals are clear and treble is very crisp.
Melly!!! Hey, my biggest issue I've seen with the bumboxxes with they're mostly really bass heavy, with muddy mids and highs.... at least the ones I've been around.

This thing though, the mids and highs are pretty clear?!?

This biggest concern I have with this box is how I'm going to explain yet ANOTHER boombox to my wife.

I may end up living in the cardboard box it gets delivered in......
I'm in the same boat as you. I get plenty of large cardboard at work. Maybe we can crash together till the storm blows over.

I'm excited about having this machine and hoping it has DJ Tech vibes x10. Obviously won't be as portable but I will put this thing through the paces if it lives up to the hype. They nailed the look. If I could pick a vintage style for a new tech blaster, it would be the M70 for the size and style. I use my DJ Tech everywhere but she's tired.

Just like the M90 the 777 is an icon. Reviving every other model wil be impossible altough i would like a modern M70 version.
