Looks very promising , the 999 look around the speakers and the dark tape doors.
How about the tape mechanisms ? Quality ?

The door glass will be changed to a lighter shade before production. Light smoke instead of dark tint, so that it looks more like a vintage box.
I don't know who makes the tape mechanism. They sounded decent from what I heard. Plus Bumpboxx plans to switch the heads for Japanese ones before production.

I looked at the link. I don't mind giving out an email address but I really am not interested in giving out my phone number. I am sure it might be for text updates only but, they can sell that information to a 3rd party and I really don't want spam calls and emails.
I can say that submitting your e-mail address is good enough. I, too, was not keen on giving them my phone number, so I just backed out of that page. The next day I got an e-mail thanking me for signing up.

So, if anybody else is concerned about that, no phone number is required. Just giving them an e-mail address is good enough.

Hey @Reli , can you clear something up? I've have seen two different prices mentioned for the BB-777. One is $459, and the other is $549. Do you know for sure which price is correct?

I thought about this fact. Is the remote the only source of CD controls? I don't see and dedicated CD play/stop etc buttons on the unit.
Maybe the controls are combined for the CD player and the files on the USB stick
As the volume is a rotary encoder the volume control is on the remote together with the contols on the right of the CD slot

To be honest, I haven't been paying attention to those details!

I hope they decide to make it record above 128kbps and play Flac. Also, it would be nice if open air recordings were in stereo just like the good old days. The GPO has auto-stop on FF/Rew even with the Tenashin style decks. I hope they do that as well with a metal flywheel. That would make these awesome!

If it is a Kickstarter thing, isn't it normal there are different prices depending on different offers or time of purchase?
