Hey fellas, it's been a while. I am a consultant on the BB-777 project. I currently have one of the prototypes and putting it through real world testing.
About the build: It is injection molded plastic and the same size as a classic 777. Double cassette with high speed dubbing. External mics have pre set volume. Plug in mics have adjustable volume and echo feature. Carry handle will be geared for slow ingress. It will come with a remote. Carry strap included.
Formats: CD, cassette, USB, Bluetooth, and 3.5mm aux input. AM/FM/SW radio. Rechargeable lithium ion battery good for 12-16 hours of play time. Battery will be customer serviceable. Also has ability to convert analog cassettes to digital via USB. 270 real watts of power. 30 step notched volume knob. True stereo. Loudness switch. Grills and front labels are magnetic. I've had this one for a week and it has very balanced sound. Bass hits very hard with no distortion. Treble is crisp. The horns give a special feel to vocals. I love this thing. I honestly plan to have 3 of them. No company has released a true retro boombox until now. This one has earned that title.

Testing it at the park, sound travels very well. It's not a screamer like classic boomboxes, this has deep, rich sound. Woofers have rubber surrounds and are encased individually. There is no distortion and no sound bleed. Vocals are clear and treble is very crisp.

Never bought any bumpboxx but would buy this. Still waiting on the new wave toys version
New Wave Toys will not be making a full sized or mini version. I was also a consultant on their mini M90 project. The project leader for the mini boomboxes left the company. To date the mini M90 was there most successful project.

Hey @mellymelsr Can you update me on the following questions:

Do the digital Red LED VU meters register volume output or source input?

If volume output is referenced by the VU meters, do they bounce well without the boombox needing to be at full volume? I ask because I sometimes listen to my radios indoors without always cranking them and it is nice to see action even when a jam session isn't in order.

Do the VU meters show tuner and battery strength? If not, is there an easy way to know how much battery life is left on the boombox itself?

How long does the internal battery take to recharge when fully drained?

Does the recording cassette deck have a permanent erase magnet or a powered erase head?

Does this boombox cassette decks have auto-stop on FF/Rew or Play only?

Does the LCD matrix screen show CD Text along with MP3 text or track info only?

Will this boombox play Flac or only MP3 and WAV?

Does this boombox record in a greater quality than 128kbps onto USB/SD?

How far away will Bluetooth and the remote work?

Is this boombox's open air recordings in stereo or mono via a single mic?

I am sure to think of other questions but this is all I can come up with at the moment.
