OK guys, I'm safe. Although I live in one of the lowest areas of Brisbane Metro area, I live about 20 minutes drive from the city center. I did not see any floodwater at all around my home.
I came into the city to help my employer restore our shop, no water got in, (the water came to the top of the stairs, but the shop is in the basement!) yesterday everything was removed to much higher ground, and today we have to put it all back.

Compounded by the fact it is still very wet in some areas, it took me 5 hours to make a 25 minute journey by train, I arrived at work after 11 am, I then spent an hour wandering the city waiting for some tech guys to come and put our IT gear together, 3 hours later we have electricity, internet access and network services.
There is a team of 6 guys putting all our expensive print equipment back together and I expect we will be fully operational for business by 8am tomorrow.
I spent an hour wandering about, not very many people in the heart of the city, a lot of EMT, Fire and Police guys around. I took a few pictures and will upload them when I get home tonight.
Thanks for all your well wishes.
@ hardmen - OMG Rio! I hope you and your family are safe.
