Hmmm, impressive reviews! I to don't like new stuff but if this compares to a M-90 it may be something to look at!😮🤔
I never see/hear an M90 in person, but comparing with all radios that I have/leave/hear, the only contender is my RX-A2.Ghettoboom767 said:Hmmm, impressive reviews! I to don't like new stuff but if this compares to a M-90 it may be something to look at!😮🤔
Well Im not worthy to say whats a must have, and whats not, thats personal to each individuals taste and wallet. Its a choice one needs to make on their own. All I can tell you all, is my opinion, which is just that...my opinion. If you have the money and are curious to find out for yourself, its available and it sounds GREAT. If not, thats cool tooMartin123 said:Hey Slo,
Is the Exos a must have for a collector?
I have to agree, 100%hardmen said:Where most of all boxes couldn'n go in low frequencies, the E9 keep going...
Cheers.
As I say before Steve, the E9 not have that classic look that all of us collector fall in love, but they sounds EXACTLY the way we all collectors wish, on our old schools boys.SLO said:Yea James its a little thumper, yesterday I took it outdoors in my backyard to test it out for a bit. It sounds just as good outdoors as it does indoors. I honestly didn't think I would listen to the E9 as much as I have so far, but its been getting used daily since day one. I love testing it out with all types of music, and so far, it all sounds goodespecially bass heavy tracks.
Was it east to pull grill?SLO said:So today was the day. I received the Aiwa Exos earlier. Unboxed it, and as I pulled out the big black box, at first sight, I cant lie...I was already having thoughts of returning it just based on its appearance alone. Its just not MY personal taste as far as looks go. I love great sound, but I also LOVE appearance just as much. LED's, VU meters, lights, chrome accents etc. What can I say, Im stuck in the 80's. But that wouldnt be fair. I needed to hear this thing.
Anyways after taking it into my boom room where I listen to all of my boomboxes on the regular, and after experimenting with some hard hitting bass tracks, I must say, WOWWWthis thing pumps out some IMPRESSIVE Bass. I don't want to repeat whats already been said about the Exos by Riker, hardmen, and many reviews all over the internet but the sound is very impressive. It pounds clean and hard to heavy bass songs even when maxed out. I didnt hear any distortion at max volume. My best sounding boombox is my M90, but I have to admit, the Exos puts out some really killer bass compared to any one of my boxes, the highs are crisp too, so its a well balanced sound.
Im far from a hardcore audiophile, but for the money, it puts out some pretty dam impressive sound from both the bluetooth and through the auxiliary input. I will have to do some cosmetic changes in the future in order to make it "pop" and to fit my personal style and taste a little more. To me, its worth the $$$ for the sound that comes out of this thing. I never thought I'd buy something "new and modern" and I know its not a boombox, and not "old school", but its well worth a listen for sure, and if you dont like it, you can ship it back at Aiwa's expense, and get a full refund. So theres really nothin to lose if your curious like I was. Just wanted to share my thoughts on this unit with you guys and gals, hope it helps, CHEERS!

Riker already posted plenty of size comparison photos, but heres one more after the grill was removed.2016-02-03 22.23.16.jpg![]()
Yes its easy, I had seen it done on YouTube. Just start from one of the lower bottom corners and carefully pull little by little all the way around the grill. Theres rubber seals that hold it in place. Just take your time with it and you'll be fine.riker1068 said:Was it east to pull grill?

Like hardmen said, I wish all of my classics sounded the way this does. The E9 outpumps any classic boombox in my collection (which is hard for me to admit) and I myself own an M90.Lasonic TRC-920 said:![]()
