I'm just finishing up the restoration of my CS-J88. As Skippy said, it is the Japanese domestic market version of the CS-880 so the units are very similar, with the main differences being the FM tuner (it only goes to 90.0 Mhz, not 92.0 as Skippy said) and the voltage (100V).
I'm in the U.S. so I the 100V AC of the CS-J88 is not a problem for me; I can just plug the AC cord straight into the mains. However, it does have an input for a DC connector, so in the U.K. you should be able to use a simple DC power transformer (like this:

If you're thinking about buying one, don't hesitate. The sound is amazing, the build quality is outstanding and the looks are classic. But one common problem with these units is dried out speaker foams, so check that the speakers are in good condition or be prepared to repair them.
