This was such an incredible time! I am still absorbing it all. I've never seen so many boxes for the first time, and meeting so many like-minded nuts!
The friendships created, friendships strengthened, the walks, the chats, the events, seeing Vegas for the first time, good heavens I could go on forever.

Big props to Howie for making what seemed to be out-of-reach goals a reality, and to those who hauled the majority of the boxes to the summit, it would not have been what it was without you all. A very righteous time for all. Including this righteous fellow patrolling the strip.

That was hilarious! I had to take that picture! We were all going to hell, according to that guy holding the wooden cross. Especially, those who mistake #2 for the peace sign.

That was cool that we had neighboring rooms with the SLO familia. So, We just opened our adjoining doors to be able to walk from one room, to the other. We were so loud, blasting Howie's Conion C100, Melly's minty M90, and Chris's 920. I thought security was gonna shut us down. But, We all had rooms next to, and across from each other. And, when I asked the other neighbors if We were too loud, they replied with "Hell no, this is Vegas. We're ALL loud here."

It's a family affair. It was great to meet members of the community and their families.

One of the best parts of the trip was walking the strip. Can't tell you how many times we got pic requests from people walking by. Also plenty were celebrating our music with us by dancing or just hanging out asking questions about our radios. But we also had some attention from hotel security...once or twice...lol.

While walking the strip we discovered a radio station with very little commercial interruption but great boombox music. We were all tuned in to that station while rocking the strip.

The EGG made it home! They almost kicked me off the plane for having it as an extra carry on and not paying them $60. I told them I will throw it in the trash before paying them $60. I also noted that it is the same size as a lot of people's neck pillows, so do they get charged for those as well?? They let me on with it, no extra charge HAAHA.

Great pictures, what an experience.

So, I'm going to throw out this idea...

After speaking with Howie, Dave, Steve, Melvin and Will, we realize the only way to really make this bigger is to move it further east. One of the reasons Las Vegas was chosen this time around was because the city of Las Vegas subsidizes the airlines to get you into the city where they can pick your pocket (bank account, credit cards ect.). It keeps airfare prices low. But many of us drove because it was still cheaper and more importantly, we could bring many more radio's. I only brought 8, but Melvin and Hans were responsible for a full 1/3 of all the radio's shown in those pictures!!!

With the idea of moving farther east, the idea of possibly New Orleans popped up. Closer to the Florida / Sunshine Mix Crew. Closer to Tennessee so maybe we can get Freddie and Bobby in the house, plus all the midwest guys have a short flight down. New Orleans, I think, is an interesting enough city that almost none of the West Coast Crew have been too, making it doubly worth the time, cost and effort (also thinking wives! Got to make them happy too  )

Since the West Coast Crew handled all the organization of the Vegas Summit (what I mean is, Howie, who did 90% of the work), it would be great to hand the baton off to the east coast crew to make the next one happen. If New Orleans was chosen, it would be awesome to cruise the streets pumping tunes together!

Maybe we could start a new thread and get the dialogue going now. It took a full year to build the Las Vegas meet and if we want to do it again, we better start now!

OK Sunshine / East Coast Crew....Whatcha Got?

Great idea! Researching a great place to stay, nearby restaurants and happening spots. Maybe even a group shot inside the Mercedez dome where the Saints play. Lots of possibilities.

Great idea! I'm looking at hotels and things to do in the French Quarter. I love cajun food so I'm definitely going! Let's get the planning and funding for the facility going now so we can build on what we started in Vegas. Let's go East Coast/Sunshine Crew!
