I really hope a lot more members make it out to Vegas for the meet...you can't put a price on a meet like this...being able to meet all the members that we have all been talking with throughout the years in the forums, through PM's, on the phone, through text messages etc...even boombox transactions you did with members you never met...i think it will be really great to meet the guys behind the names

fftopic:Albert told me when Lasonic was getting started, his parents made the pilgrimage to the Swap meets around Southern California to sell product. I bought my 920 off of an Asian woman, probably in her late 30's (in 1983). I told this to Albert and we came to the conclusion that it was most likely his mother. It's important to remember that Lasonic is a very small family owned and operated business that ran with the big dogs back in the day thanks to hard work and the American Dream. Simply an amazing story.

Are we going to have a banquet or meeting? Maybe raffle goods from sponsors like Lasonic, blu_fuz straps, Superduper LED kit, Chris TRC920 knob polishing, Baddboybill limo ride, JC's custom paint work, or any other goods/services from members/supporters?
I donate powder coating service every year at the banquet for a car club I am in ($50-$100). Companies like MSDS give 1/2 off header and y-pipe setups, Spec clutches donates coupons, Rockauto donates magnets/stickers/coupons/hats, etc....

Howie is looking into a banquet room. Last we talked, it was something along the lines of (and I might be wrong) that if we have a luncheon, open buffet type thing, we each pay for our meals, the room is FREE.
We talked about maybe having a luncheon on Saturday, have the room for a few hours to get together, bring all our radios together, spend some time before the big Saturday night blowout on Fremont Street

Ok on a serious note...I just got off the phone with Albert Chen over at LASONIC. He told me that Adam THAFUZZ had messaged him about it through eBay, and that it sounded really good.
So I gave him the dates and told him about the possibility of us getting a banquet room on Saturday afternoon, and about the big street blow out on Fremont Street on Saturday night. It sounded like there is a very strong possibility that him and his friend Gabriel (DJ Earlyworm) will be able to make it. DJ Earlyworm is the one who posts the pictures for @lasonicaudio on Instagram, and also has a HUGE LASONIC collection, so of course they will be taking Boomboxes with them, but which ones they take will have to be determined. 
I told him we'd keep him up to date on things as the date come closer, but he sounded pretty confident about going since we don't live too far from Vegas. Its looking good...
