Gluecifer were a rock band from Norway in the mid 90s. They come from the same area as bands like Turbonegro, Backyard Babies, The Hellacopters etc. There was a big scene in scandinavia for totally kick arse rock'n'roll back then, and Gluecifer fast became one of my absolute favourite bands ever. So I loved the band, but also at that stage I was a professional model builder making garage kits (wikipedia 'garage kit') en masse at a shop I worked in and 'glue' was a big part of what I became associated with. Over the years I'v been pretty entrenched in the metal scene in bands and such, so the 'cifer' from Lucifer seemed like a perfect match to be nickname online. I even have a version of their logo tattooed on my leg. But they split ages ago now and only people who were into the music in the 90s have ever really heard of the band unfortunately..
I've been using Gluecifer for the last 14 years or so, but these days if I need to make a new account anywhere I use P3SS3SSOd which is Possessed upside down, who are one of my favourite death metal bands from the 80s and is guranteed to never be taken on already... I hope! Thankfully I've got an aresenal of other kooky upside down nicks in cold storage for any further identity eventualities too!
