when on ebay what do you type in to find boxes ?


i know some of you won't want to answer incase you have found a magic word that finds the good one's, but with nearly every inch of ebay being watched by nearly every one and not many boxes slipping through the net !


I know that if there is a gap in the word then you can get a load more or a load less just because of the spelling


ghetto blaster and gettoblaster will get different numbers of items for the same thing !


so what do you type in ?

i think mono is on to something, the simplier the query the more chances to hit the miscategorized gems.

lately though i havent had the time for that so I narrow it down to a few brands.
"boombox jvc"

sometimes its fun to go off the beaten path though:
"radio jvc"

"vintage boombox" usually hits some good ones but it is the road more travelled.

Yeah, I guess if you wanna be thorough, you'll have to make a list of keywords and try 'em all.

In Au, some people call them rock boxes too.

and I guess most posters would be too discrete and coy to say what they type in.

If you know what you're after - being specific can draw results

but then also - the all encompassing "boom box" may spread the net wide

This can be a huge list well beyond the obvious.
Posting in wrong categories and or with wrong or to simple of a subject line can hide these listing all over the place. Like just about every body else I've found some really poorly listed auctions that had little chance of being found by more than just a few potential buyers. I've made a few good buys by finding these auctions but it takes a lot of time to scour through thousands of listing to find some of the gems. My recommendation is to watch the auctions for a while and make note of typical words you might find in a boombox auction, this will give you good words to search for and you'll probably think up other terms to use for searching.
