its amazing . on my vintage gear the silence and complete absence of line noise. i mean i have some new synths to all of them have line noise.
on some of the high end old gear i have it is just shocking how quiet they are.
i mean it is also amazing how pristine the sound that comes out of them is.
i guess a piece of gear that cost five grand twenty years ago was just made that damn good.

i mean i am freaking blown aways with this sy77 i just bought it is a ancient synth its digital .
its fm with sample playback.
the effects are ancient the synth is just built so well and the sound that comes out of it is just awe inspiring.
when i plug in one of the modern synths besides it the ammount of line noise that comes out of it makes me wonder if its busted.
just crazy.

Synthesizer manufacturers these days, probably use sounds for their digital synths that are sampled from the old analogue ones, thus a second-hand sound is created.
