well i dont know things change over twenty years. at least he got a paying gig with that commercial.
you want sad tales look at the people from motown.
i mean the funk bros played on more hit records than the beatles elvis combined.
in fact in total they are probably the biggest selling group of musicians of all time.
that being said most everyone on this planet has no idea who they are.
it is strange how the entertainment industry gives the illusion once you make it into the mainstream you are wealthy and live a life of fame and fortune.
the truth is often much different.

I use to work at a ma & pa record shop when I was younger and "Play" came through looking for a cd, it was a total surprise . He is a down to earth person as well

I do remember seeing him in something not to long ago, maybe this was it. Obviously I never watched much of it because it was bad.
