I do somewhat agree on post loading like this. But with the use of smartphones you'll probably see more quick responses with emoji's now. And for me that's OK. At least the topic is being acknowledged.

I agree. To post 'em just to up counts is one thing, but the acknowledgement, as Oldskool says, in single keystrokes is great and conveys the message well in most cases, and this coming from a guy who is prone to the odd bout of verbal diarrhea .
