Wide // Ambience modes

The best sounding stereo wide boombox I own is the Tosh S90 which barely loses bass on stereo wide. It really sounds amazing.
The 7200 kills it on detail though

I dont like this part of the game = the wide settings. The bass is goin somewhere . But best "space wide" on my boomers - Toshiba BB16

i have to agree mmcodomino, the tosh s90 ambient sounds absolutly awesome, its like the whole s90 sounds like one big surroundspeaker.
the panasonic 5250 has also got a very nice ambience sound with amazing clear heights.. a lil strange is my new nordmende 4084 (jvc 838 on the inside), the bifonic is not working with everything, but orchestral stuff sounds like 360 degrees inyourface

i got a very nice personal ambience setup in my kitchen ).. the s90 in front of me on the table, the pana 5250 behind me, and under the table an aiwa 660, thats shaking my shoes ..

another sweet surround sound box combo --

is to include a kaboom --set the bass to 5 or 6 --keep the volume low -
hide it under a table
and your tunes will have some thumping subs

heheh im sure this rocks the shoes even more *g.. but an aiwa also has some nice bass.. well a combination of boxes sounds really awesome..

The Ambience feature on my Panasonic RX-5080 and RX-5180 sound incredible! I never listen to "stereo" or mono setting ever on those two boomers. The Techno-Surround feature on my Panasonic RX-DT707 is so freakin awesome!! The GE Blockbuster's "Stereo Accent" is killer cool!

The Panasonic 5085 also has the incredible 'Ambience' sound technology to it. In MY opinion, It sounds much better than My other boxes' Stereo wide versions. It's very destinct.

after experiencing the biphonic recently on a jvc 828 and now the ambience setting on my new f32 mini i can happily say that for me the ambience is the better version-the sound sounds much more naturally seperated and actually does what the manufacturer says.....its the nearest to sitting in a live concert that you could ever get-as for use on headphones well strangely ive not tried it lol.....let me check and get back to you on that one

and well me first on e dont work that well i fond out as the sound on the new one was just as good as the rx 7000

Yeah it would be interesting to hear my boxes up against one of the same brand new. I'm sure my 5350 doesn't sound quite right and am waiting on the last of the caps to arrive from around the world to hopefully sort it out. I mean it sounds ok but it should be awesome huh

I need to listen to my RX7200 and see how it responds to ambience. I don't remember it got ambience. I will check it soon. 5350 does the amazing ambience effect. I was thrilled to see that much effect. The tuner on 7200 is joke. You cannot listen to any of your fav FM stations above 90MHz. I use my IPod FM tuner to play FM above 90 MHz. May be there is a better way to do it.

yea listerning rite now and the rx is louder but the ambeince switching sounds pritty much the same
