Why wouldn't this sell? When this other one did?

I had been watching this and wanted it for its uniqueness, but dont understand why it took so long to sell when the one below it sold for like 4 times as much with shipping included.

I snagged this one - for $59 bucks (It will cost $20-30 just to ship!) It is not a K model though :'-( sitll

I saw this one earlier this week. Pretty neat, if you ask me. I think the reason it didn't go for very much is there is no line in/out. I think that extra speaker in the center section is the bomb, though.

Johnny,the "K" model has shortwave. The version you got has am fm only.

Despite being a great looking box, perhaps the word is out that they don't sound so hot (according to some Boomboxery members).

Did anybody else notice that the one that sold for way more money was also "miscategorized." Also, the winning bidder placed an apparently exorbitant bid very early and you'll notice that a two '0' bidders placed 19 bids thereby running up the final amount. There's no way to know for sure, but in my book, that looks very suspicious to me.

I think the amount that Johnny paid is closer to the actual price that one could expect to pay.

For a fully functioning odd looking radio that costs only $59.00 shipped it is a bargain.

It's the AUSTRALIA factor. No kidding. Australian auctions have received most of the "record breaking" eBay prices ever, probably due to how hard it is to get boomboxes over there. I think an RS-4360dft sold for around $2600 a couple years back in Australia.

I'm not buying it to replace my C100's I have plenty powerful radios, this purchase is based on looks - which are intriguing.

God no, would not shoot any vintage boombox, no matter what the sound - a Timex alarm clock w/ am/fm is one thing- TRC-920's video was great and we should all send him a junk radio and let him make a youtube series out of it .

This is still better than the radio I had in school (5th grade anyways) a double cassette player with NO radio, geesh!

Im not real picky, I take every radio with a grain of salt

I doubt it will,l but when I see a C100 missing a cassette door getting shot...... I will cry :'-(

Your video was great, but it was more than just shooting a radio, it was the caddy, your look, and the repeat firing of that shot gun that made it great..... kinda like "Deliverance meets technology"

I NEVER agree with Tim. EVER.

But this is one time where I have to agree --

It's a very photogenic boombox. But when you get it, it's like -- what happened -- I thought it was bigger -- I thought it was heavier I thought it would've made more sound with all those speakers

I would blow this box away in a heart beat it's an insult to the genere, i mean people go on about how eggs are crap but in reality most decent eggs are on a different planet to this box.

Thanks guys for the feedback and I am sure it will be a letdown based on what Ive heard, the whole point is its only $59.00!!!!! I just paid that much for 2 antennas..
