huh?
btw, speaking of foam and rubber surrounds.......They suck at producing sharp mids, such as guitar & voice. Their specialty is moving a lot of air and producing "warm boomy" bass, like for movie soundtracks.
The shittiest possible 2-way speaker is one which utilizes a rubber-surround woofer, paired with a really tiny tweeter (like a pizeo). All you get is a bunch of warm "boomy" bass and some highs.....You get no mids, because the tweeter is too small, and the woofer isn't stiff enough. As a result, you get a "distant" sound, because the singer's voice is muffled.
IMO the only time rubber or foam should be used, is for a subwoofer. OR if it's a 3-way speaker, like the Telefunken Studio 1 --- then a rubber woofer is fine. But all the other speakers should use paper/pulp surrounds. That is why the Studio 1 sounds so good.
