At TESC you just take 180 credits of WHATEVA then you have a degree. They do have a pretty rigorous Bachelor of Science program for folks going into pre-med and stuff, but mainly it's considered liberal arts. The great thing is that I have taken enough courses within several different disciplines that when I apply for a job, I can say Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Communications or Journalism or Human Resources, etc. It gives me flexibility to study a wide variety of things, which I love, because I'm a curious bird. I'm glad I don't have to be inside a narrow major in order to take a couple audio engineering classes or a welding class or ARC GIS...
You also can design your own class if you have a faculty member as a sponsor to approve it and evaluate your work. The syllabus I wrote for Women in Music had to be approved by the dean, so it's legit.
