Was thinking about getting a Kaboom of my own but wondering which model has the most power/bass or best sound. I'm guessing all have an AUX input for Phones/MP3 players etc. so my only concern is power & sound. If there's other things to consider, let me know of course...

Thanx,
Cpl

DP100 and DP200. They are the same except for cosmetics.

Unlike other Kabooms, those have adjustable mids & highs.

Yep, agree with all gents. :-)

I had the same question recently, to pick the best Kaboom sound wise, read some reviews
and after that focused my search at JVC RV-DP200BK.

A couple of weeks ago scored this beast, boxed, barely ever used, with all accessories.
All these years this Kaboom was sitting in a box on a cupboard.

For what it's worth i haven't heard the DP200 or DP100 but have heard they are the best.

I do have both the older 52W Kaboom with tape and the newer 40W one with the Ipod dock and the 52W one is substantially more powerful sounding with much deeper bass, even more so than the figures suggest.

I have now had two of the older ones with cassette and they are stunning sounding boxes. I would look out for one of them to as they are easier to find and look slightly better. My 52W one is khaki green and looks a bit military hehe.

there is one better kaboom than all of them tho, the md5 but it's minidisk and cd, no cassette and it's mains only

I thought about removing decals on DP200 first :-) but then decided against it as I will part with this "Tube" as we call it
sooner or later for some other toy so let it stay original.

It's not just the decals guys, it's those dreadful tacky drumads and such lol and both of mine were chewing tapes  :-)
