Yup, obviously the tape selector switch is an impro job :lol:

Well, it appears as if some of the buttons are more nicotine yellow, than others but the battery door & area around the antenna selector ahve the same discoloration as the push-buttons but the sliders are cleaner. It looks to me as if it really is just a case of incomplete cleaning & partial restoration. I don't think he really changed anything out. Is there a stock photo to compare to?

Bredgeo is totally correct here Cpl. :yes:

The original tape selector is the same style as the other sliders, wider with a cental detent molded in it.

NOBODY knows more about VZ sliders than Bredgeo....sorry Cpl but you are wrong - the tape type selector has been changed :-)

Ah, OK, my mistake. I thought he was talking about the sliders on the right hand side for volume, etc. Yes, looking at other photos, the tape selector is different.
