What Hitachi is this?

Ran into this one today. Not a great 3-piece lover but this one looks sweet!!

I've never seen this Hitachi model living more than half a century on this planet!

It looks like a very professional and expensive unit.

It looks like Hitachi made this model after seeing National RX A2 and RX A5 boomboxes with the hard top suitcase looks.

I would jump and get it!

This was part of Hitachi's "Lo-D" series. This is the J-1. Very heavy, very robust, very no way on batteries but absolutely worth having!

i think these have 12V input so you could run it with a gel cell external battery. I would pick it up for sure, the flight case is the rarest part

saw one a year or so ago on a car boot,minus the flight case,but in its original cardboard box for £20,sadly it was too heavy to strap to my scooter so i had to leave it as the owner wanted 20 quid to bring it to my house and i said forget it....ah well,never mind
