Ran into this one today. Not a great 3-piece lover but this one looks sweet!!
Anyone knows more about this one?

It looks like Hitachi made this model after seeing National RX A2 and RX A5 boomboxes with the hard top suitcase looks. :yes: :yes:

This was part of Hitachi's "Lo-D" series. This is the J-1. Very heavy, very robust, very no way on batteries but absolutely worth having! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

i think these have 12V input so you could run it with a gel cell external battery. I would pick it up for sure, the flight case is the rarest part

saw one a year or so ago on a car boot,minus the flight case,but in its original cardboard box for £20,sadly it was too heavy to strap to my scooter so i had to leave it as the owner wanted 20 quid to bring it to my house and i said forget it....ah well,never mind :-/
