I never really told my story but it was a day i will never forget...some of you I have had decussions with about my work reguarding 9-11 clean up and recovery well today i will share some of my experince with all of you...I was not down there when the planes hit the towers and all of those poor people lost there lives....but my job was to try to help someone if they still were prehaps alive, traped in the rubble ...I arrived on the 12th of september to find literly a pile like I have never seen in my life....my first thoughts were very overwhelming but i stayed focused and new I had a job to do...but it was very hard to keep those thoughts knowing how many people perished there....me and about 100 of my coworkes brought trucks and all kinds of equiptment to aid in the effort ...but on that day we parked our massive trucks and went out on foot to form a bucket brigade and assist in various points of the pile to try to find someone who was trapped...I can't really tell you all what that was like but i will try... it was smokey dusty and very pain staking process and when they thought they herd something everyone went silent to see if indeed it was a person crying out for help....I spent 3 months of my life down there working on and off ...as we were needed.. i was one of the first to go...in the years to follow we were called upon quite a few times to go.. our job was finally over in 2006 when we hauled the last container out of the site and the rebuilding was taking place....i did take some photos of the site and i want to share them with you all ...Its very hard to talk about the events that took place and these photo's are really hard to look at... i will never forget and i pray it will never happen again.may god bless all who were lost on that day
