Hi guys,
I have bought a 3.5mm to 5 pin DIN lead in the hope of connecting my Walkman to my Sharp GF9494 boombox, since the latter‘s cassette function has stopped operating.
There is a 5 pin din jack on the back of the Sharp but when I connect the two machines I hear nothing, even when pressing the Phono button on the Sharp.
Is it likely that the din connector is only for phono inputs like turntables, not for line-level inputs like the Walkman, and this is why I can’t hear anything?
Thanks for any advice.
