Vintage Philips 020 pocket radio refurbishment

Hi guys, last year i got one very sad looking Philips 020 pocket radio. At first i thought it was no name chinese radio, as it was repainted badly with cheap black spray paint, i don´t know why previous owner did it. When i got it, i was wow, this thing is huge When i opened the battery cover, hell yeah, it´s a Philips 90AL020, well, then it sat in a box for half a year and then i thought i should take this paint off as it wasn´t it´s original paint which was originally silver. When i took the paint off, i accidentally wiped off the original paint too. :'-( Today i thought that i should find a paint that looks just like the original paint and i found it. Found a sweet spray paint, ripped it apart and painted it. For me it now looks brilliant, although it´s missing this small Philips logo artwork which was wiped off when i took old bad paint off.

I had a one similar-ish in about 1965/1966, I'm trying to track one down just the same as I used to have but I can't even remember the brand name. I think I'll know it if I see it!

I had a one similar-ish in about 1965/1966, I'm trying to track one down just the same as I used to have but I can't even remember the brand name. I think I'll know it if I see it!

Thanks, yes, it´s kinda rare nowadays, i haven´t seen this anywhere for sale, i was lucky this time. I finished working on it as i think it´s already flawless, Well, maybe i should make new logo stickers somewhere, i took the measures as i found traces of old logos. Now i need to find a company which makes those small miniature stickers. It plays well, antenna is undamaged and intact surprisingly and tunes to FM/ AM stations really well.

It sure is, i would love to own a General Electric 7-2500 pocket radio as i like design of it, there´s a ton of those on eBay, but postage to Estonia is unreasonable and really high like they are sending me an elephant instead of pocket radio . Oh well

I'm not sure about a 'Philips' logo specifically but I've seen many badges/logos/motifs for sale on eBay(UK).

Over time, many companies have changed or updated their branding so it may be worth looking for images of the particular model # to see how the logo looked at that time. Philips often had a 'shield' shaped badge as well, sometimes as one with the brand name and sometimes separate. Good luck!

I found a picture, it´s easy to find them from internet and reduce the size of them, but i don´t know a company in Estonia that would make me them. i need them sticky and transparent.
