I didn't get it because not only did it not work but it made a loud skreaching noise like a bat out of Hell.
...But it sure looks like it would be a fun box to own.

Looks like that Panasonic sat in someones garage for a long time. I've had a few of the Panasonic mini's like that one and I found them to sound decent but not great, haven't had that model though so who knows.

one of the best things about this hobby is ""tinkering""..sometimes it''s just an obvious thing when you open them up...the satisfaction of it is when you get them going...you give them new life again when you play them...that''s the satisfaction when I play around with them...that model looks pretty cool , though

I would love to find a book called" Boom-box tinkering for dummies".
My ten year old found a transistor LED kit for kids,
I've been playing with it hoping I might learn a thing or two from it.
Maybe I'll go back and get this Panny and make it my Guinea-pig.

OSS...Go and get it man!!! It mayjust need some De-Oxit or very light work. Those that seem the worst off ar very often the least problematic with a little, if you will, elbow grease.
