Yes, it looked more than worse before, i still veel bad about those chrome trims that i scrubbed off accidentally,as it was so greasy and had a coat of nicotine on it, i had to leave it to soapy hot water for a hour and later these just came off with a wipe, i feel kinda bad about it. And after disassembly, FM stopped working for good, i have no idea how it happened, but it receives FM very poorly and after workshop service, it sounds alright, but it´s like tuned off from station, i have no idea why and how, but i guess there isn´t much to do about it. Line In and Cassette both work nice, clear and loud, FM radio is shy as hell, AM is loud and clear. I guess i´ll take it to the service again.retrohead said:in its original, raw state that had to be the worst condition radio id ever seen, and ive seen some appalling abominations in my time
but,the job youve done on it is first class.truely first class.i commend you for your patience and strong stomach, being able to fix that up.good job :superduper:
Any ideas to revive the chrome trims ? Has anyone done it before here ?
And it happened because of some my unknown tiny fault, i don´t even know what.

I took this radio to service again, maybe they can do something with this again, something in it begs me to return it to it´s former glory, i´ll get some aluminium tape as decals for it too soon !
Without FM radio this isn´t quite the radio.
