Just got this Sanyo M7850K for a real nice price after cashing in my eBay bucks. It was very dirty and hardly even working. Deck was not working at all. I did my full restoration with completely cleaning it inside and out. Cleaning all switches and pots and cleaning and rebelting deck. Now she fully pumps out and sounds great. I have to say this is my favorite mini I ever had as for looks, sound and most functions including dual antenna. She came out gorgeous and I'm very happy :-)

Thanks Guys

@ Alfie: They seem the same in looks not sure what difference is. All speakers are blue as well ;-)
@ Scott. You got it :-)
@ Chris. Actually there were 2 on eBay. One was an auction but this was $150 buy it now or best offer. I put in best offer and it was excepted. I had about $57 in eBay bucks and spent another $40. After cleaning it's almost like new. Not many marks at all
@ Ira. Surprisingly this thing is loud and best of all it has separate bass and treble controls, music search, dual antennas. All the nice features of a full size box :-D

I've got the 7900 and IMO it's the best mini out there...top quality, looks awesome, sounds great, twin aerials, separate bass and treble...congrats on the 7850! :-)

I think voltage is the only difference

You could be right about voltage as mine has all voltage selector and 7900 might only be 240v box :hmmm:

I know someone in France who has a 7900 and it runs on their 220V supply, with a proper tapping for the European supply so unless that's a different version, I don't think it's only suitable for the UK's higher mains voltage which is variable between 237 and 253 Volts. Boxes that have come from Europe with no 240V setting tend to dislike UK mains, especially as it's anything but consistent.
I'll ask him whither he's had to change the mains PSU and whither it went to France with him when he emigrated or was bought there.

But what a little beauty though, definitely one to seek out.

I know there are three choices so it very well may be 120,220,240 ;-)
