Username?

I like to use the same username so I can easily be found by members.


If you are an ebay seller as well, do you use the same username as here on the forums? Why or why not?

I use the same user name here and ebay. There is no corrilation between the two sites, I just did it because I'm blu_fuz on other forums also.

Most won't have the same screen name here and ebay, there is no reason to.

^ exactly why mine is the same on ebay - plus I have had the screen name since I first got on ebay back in 2001 but a lot of people here have a screen name that has to do with a certain favorite boombox.

I am tshorba on most forums I use but have a different ebay name because they don't allow a user to have a name to close to their email address. When I changed ISP's I had to change my ebay name
Most of the Oz members know my ebay name anyway

I use the same name for both so that you can easily see I am the same person. Also, I believe it lets potential buyers know I am not hiding behind an alias & won't disappear on them once the sale is done.

I have a different forum names, i guess if had joined both sites at the time they may have been the same. Same pic on both forums though so most folks probably know who i am.

Ebay is different also. Like others, that account was started at yet another different time. No secret though as im sure ive posted auctions on both sites

I've got about 4 different pseudonyms I used, depending on where I'm registering, and when I registered.

I like to change things every now and then so the internet can't keep a record of everything I do.

No, not really. I have always been "superlew" in some form or another for 10+ years now.
The only reason my username on eBay has so many numbers is because I lost access to my original account from '99 when Adelphia was bought out by Comcast.
BTW, anyone else experiencing "typing lag" on the forum? Or did my laptop get the Bird Flu? Seems to work fine everywhere else.
So the answer is yes, I use the same username, sort of...

When I register on different sites, I pick ID names and passwords at random out of the encyclopedia. Here I am Serene Lodi which is a beautiful garden tourist destination in new delhi. My ebay ID is Guestspeaker. I have several other IDs which are just as random. My real name is Michael Hinckle, but I can't use that name because there are apparently about a dozen Michael Hinckles in the world.
