any time you are up here bobby.
you can even drive it if you want. its been a bit of hand work but its been really worth it.
the car still needs minor stuff doing but she is close to as good as a car with 25 year old original paint can be.
no accidents on this ride its a really nice old car.
rides like a old caddi

thanks guys.
you know its really hard to believe that a four door sedan from the eighties can be so nice . i mean back in the day we were drooling over camaros vettes firebirds and mustangs sitting on the showroom floor. perhaps some of the strange front wheel drive chryslers were cool for some too.
i mean when we go for a ride in this old beast i am really taken by how nice of a ride it is. i mean decent power and really really comfortable.
the car gets tons of looks and well for the price i paid for it i am pretty happy. especially when i see how much these cars are going up stateside.
the inside is pretty much as good as the outside. there is not much i can say bad about the inside.
the dash has the typical cracks but i am going to tackle that soon. i am most likely going to use my color matching skills for that one.
to get the paint the right shade for the rocker panel was pretty tricky.
i mean for most it looks black but.
to get it to work with the rest of the cars rocker panels i had to mix black blue and a minute ammount of white marine paint together.
i rolled the rocker with a foam brush. i mean i could have rattle canned it but the color would have been off. i mean matching old paint is kind of tricky. i am really quite good at that. i did it for sixteen years and people would come from all over the city to get me to mix there colors.
its pretty much the exact shade you cannot tell where i touched it up against the old paint . there is of course a subtle difference in texture but even if i rattle canned it there would be.
i will wait a few days then wax over it and it will be pretty much perfect. i am going to try and get some time out of the existing white paint as well. i dont really want to paint the car i mean it looks excellent but it will need it eventually.
i have found only a couple spots of surface rust on the car .
i will most likely just demel sand those tiny spots and touch them up with a brush as well. there is about three over the whole car about the size of a pencil eraser.
tires are going to come in the not to distant future. i am not putting big rims on this car i mean i thought about lowering it but thats gonna wreck the ride. i had a 65 pontiac i lowered once and well it was the biggest waste of time money and did nothing for the cars ride .
it does look cool but.

a lot of people might not understand it but this is going to be as close as i get to owning a 57 chevy i am going to get.
its got about 260 foot pounds of torque out of the v8.
thats more than enough for me. i mean yeah if i won the lottery pass me the ls6 to throw in there. lol.
the car handles extremely nicely for such a small car you would be really amazed at how small the turning radius is for such a big car.

That trunk and plush rear seat would hold lots of boomboxes!!

I like anything old and retro - that has been taken care of from boomboxes to fine automobiles like yours!
 Great job!
