:-/ I have tried the Record Button way to listen to an external source, and when I push Record the boombox send out a loud "buzz" that makes the musical experience quite unpleasant ... . I check it with a few sources. :sadno:
I'm sad because I paid good money: http://www.ebay.es/itm/350707705559?ssP ... 1438.l2649
In the description it looks as all works fine (although German is a language that I don't understand without a translator), sending back the item from Spain costs a lot of money ... I don't know what to do.

Does the DIN jack say REC/PB, or Phono?

If it's Phono, you may need a Phono attenuator to convert the signals from your iPod into Phono signals.

Yes, I know the phono adapter. I have tried to use the phono adapter as on other boomboxes (Aiwa Aiwa TRP-950e or many others), but this time it's a REC/PB DIN.

Besides, the "Aus Ein" switch at the Regie indicator is unable to keep the "Ein" position, is this normal? I don't know what it means ...

What switch? Mine has nothing like that. Take a photo of it.

Oh, that is just a Record Mute switch. Nobody ever uses it.

Chordeater, what kind of device are you trying to play? An iPod? Make sure the iPod's charger is not plugged into the same outlet as the boombox, or it will make a "buzz" sound.

Record Mute, OK, thanks ViennaSound for your help.

I tried to play music from an external soundcard (UA-25EX) and from my smartphone, with same results. BUT ... there's an electrical workshop near my job dedicated to TV repairing mostly, and the technician have opened the boombox searching for bad contacts and the likes. Since he have found it's difficult to dissasemble, he hardly checked anything, but something happened after all, because this evening I was listening to the SuperSound 16000 without the awful buzz, only a slight and reasonable hiss.

And yes, it sounds very good for his size
