Great sounding box......agree?
i expected quite a bit and it wasnt a let down, that means a lot to me because most times expectation leads to let downs

An AKA of the Telefunken CR8200 I just sold. Better sounding than any Sharp GF-9___ in my opinion.

Hi,

I've just purchased this one on ePay, but I'm unhappy because I think the unit has Phono In and it doesn't work. Seller tells me : "The device has no function line in. Try to turn the unit on recording and connect the appropriate cable to the upper connector"

Is this true? I'm using the 5PIN DIN conector and a phono adapter too, as in any of my other Phono In boomboxes, but it doesn't work ... really I need to push the record button to listen to Phono In?

Besides, the "Aus Ein" switch at the Regie indicator is unable to keep the "Ein" position, is this normal? I don't know what it means ...

I need some help, guys!

Just taken a look at mine:

> correct, the REGIE switch comes back to AUS (off)
Guess it is a fade off at recording.. :hmmm:

> The din plug says REC/PB
So it should be able to use it as phono in
But i have no possibility this time to check it... :-/

With mine, you simply put the Tape/Radio switch on "Tape", and then press down the Record key. You do not need to press both Record and Play. Just Record.

And push the pin inside the tapedeck to unlock the rec-button ;-)

Thanks Reli,

but can you listen to a external source (as a Mp3 player) through the Phone conector WITHOUT press the Record button?

Well, mine is the Canada model (Telefunken CR8200). It has a Rec/PB DIN jack, not a Phono jack. See the photo below. I used that jack with my iPod. All I had to do was press the Record key (you do not have to press Play running the motor).
