I think you are right about that^^...I might end up in an ocean of boomboxes
My parents think I should seriously consider visiting a doctor But i am happy with them

The "ocean" of boomboxes...well - it is quite true by now. And no, I have not seen a doctor concerning my boombox addiction

I would be interested if some of you had the same initial thoughts when they just started collecting

If so, post them up!

i have been lucky to 'always' have nice stereo equipment

but --when i first studied the ' boombox museum '
very carefully -- page-by-page // box-by-box -
it was so overwhelming to me

i was certain that i would never have enough time or money or space or the luck
to own every box in the entire museum --that i really wanted -

well --years later -
i am 90% there

the 'other' 10% will be a mother to acquire --
but --enjoying the search and the hopes and dreams -
is a big part of this hobby

Never thought that i will fill the whole house with boomers, but me like the Legend - always had a lot of sound equipment all around. Now my active speakers and my DJ booth are gone to make space and cash for the boomers. Enjoying when my friends come to visit me and one of them called his sons to get into the room with the boomer wall and told em " look at this , you never going to see this anywhere and anytime more, its one in the life time chance to see all those in one place." And damn they were fascinated. I was happy. They were happy. All we are happy. What more matter.
I can stay in the room, stare at the boomer wall for hours and like my girl saying - have this happy smile on my face.
So who needs a shrink when boomers are our doctors
