One cool tidbit: The RC-M50JW uses 28W while the RC-M50W uses 30W, so when i swapped rear casings, I got the 30W transformer  . Hey, anything helps right?
eric
well the transformer does not really affect wattage being used :-/ But how many volts is that M50

Ok, so perhaps I got over excited heh. It says 15v DC current. 240/220/110 AC current.
eric
Thanks, I asked because quite possible I may be looking for a 13.5 volt transformer :hmmm:

That's crazy Stretch  At least you used it as a parts box. I remember passing up the "M50's" a couple of times. All going for less then 50 bucks. How do they sound? And it's good to see another member from T.O!!! :w00t:

Yeah, I did want a parts box, but just a bit cheaper one :-P
They actually sound very good. Clear, have decent punch (if you turn the bass up high), and for it being a smaller box, it can thrown down loud when cranked. It does have the same sized woofers and the M70, but for some reason my M71 had stronger bass and seemed to be even louder. Maybe someone with more knowledge could explain why? I'm guessing it's because the M70/71 has 2 amplifiers?

Anyway, I love the M50 because it looks like a cleaner version of the M90. The case desing is very similarly laid out, it just has all of the knobs on the top which makes the face very clean

just a thought but maybe don't post both your addresses for everyone to see...

It's a good point, I'll change it to be safe.
But honestly, It would be hard to find me anyway even with that info. Do you think people are wanting to find me?

I dont care if you want to publicize your address, but If I sold you something I wouldn't want you to post it for the world to see. Anyone can log on here and read the posts

As for Facebook, thats different, as least I can control who is able to see my stuff

Eric, has James been in touch to make you a happy customer yet?
I haven't posted on the latest topic on s2g:

...for fear of Metad & Deliverance kicking off again... ;-)

Well, I have not been contacted by James no. Not through any means actually. It's ok, as I don't expect him to actually do anything. I have learned a lot about the guy over the past 2 months as I tried to fish my radio from him, and he never once contacted me without me first contacting him; it's just not the way he does things.

I'm not going to force him to to anything. If he wants to say or do anything it has to be his own decision.

So, the answer is that nothing happenned yet, and I suspect unfortunately nothing will. At the very least, I was able to use SOME of the parts to help my other M50 become better, but most of the blue-woofered box went to waste honestly. I have another thread open with pics of the parts for anyone who wants them, but I suspect they will either end up selling for cheap on ebay in the future, or kijiji, or most simply being thrown out.

Anyway!
With Christmas only 4 days away, I hope the rest of you guys are getting ready for some good eating and fun times! I miss those big family dinners to be honest; would be the best Christmas present I could get :-D

Those woofers were BLASTED with paint.........Probably so much that it has stiffened them, and reduced their ability to produce low-volume bass.

eric --you are an extreme cool dude --
frank sinatra could have learned from you :-)

----------------------------------------------

i know for 100% sure --that he was flat out lying -

that turd has seen 100s of REAL 'blue' jvc woofs --
and he KNEW that that crappy cartoon color had NOTHING to do
with any JVC factory--
that --plus he prolly knew about every other internal problem-

IF he does not treat you right -
even though you are asking for nothing --
this will $$$ cost him plenty
