Two dark skinned beauties ;-)

Ok so it's not as interesting as the topic title suggests!

Today I've started on the pile of boxes awaiting fixing up and started on these two. I like Sharps and the 9191 is a fave of mine. You only ever get the silver ones in the uk so I imported the 9191 from Germany. The 9090 amazingly was a uk buy but it's obviously come from abroad at some point in the past as it has an A suffix instead of the usual E. The 9191 is an HB. The 9090 I bought on eBay whilst camped up waiting for the uk meet lol.

Both were filthy and not properly working so got a strip down, a bath, service and rebelt. Along with the usual tyre replacement that turns to goo. Both had curved surface idler wheels so both needed some strategic sanding to stop them pulling the tape to one side.

Both now gleaming and fully working

How dirty were they before they got their "bath"? Any before pictures?

Yours look particularly nice now Si. As usual yours look spotless. I don't think i ever saw a 9090 in black but it looks class

Those look amazing side by side. I have a 9191, but haven't opened it up. Thankfully the deck was belted before I got it and works well. I really need to use it more.

I don't think I have seen these two posted up side by side before.

Thanks. I think they look much cooler in black. The chrome on the 9191 really pops against the black. They're both pretty rare here but I've been watching out for a good while
