Toshiba RT-S90 went for $1 242.44 on Yahoo.JP today

Not a bad price for a classic Toshiba especially when it comes with the original cardboard box.

That model has killer looks! :drool:

The S90 is a nice radio,and As much as i love it,i just dont love it that much.i cant watch auctions like that,seeing something you cant have is not a good feelin..

I know the feeling Ghettoman I've been wanting a Sony FH 909 for the longest and to no avail. I've given' up and moved on sometimes when it's not meant to be is not meant to be.

On a positive note the Toshiba S90 is rare but not as rare as the FH 909 so there's a chance you might some day be able to own one.

Ford93,You hit it right on the head,spot on mate,this site needs a like button :-) i know this is very slim to no chance,but if i ever came into a lot of money i will buy you your sony and ship it to you for free (no joke)

i dont really collect boxes anymore,sold off most of my best ones now,i still have a few mediocre boxes left..

bc i was told that grail type boomers are ALWAYS very cheap over there ?

Great looking system by Sony, never saw it in flesh though.
Recently Sony FH 909 popped up in the local version of Craigslist,
claimed to be fully functional, in good cosmetics, with a Sony CD player as a bonus :).
They asked circa $250 and I was going to check on that unit but wasn't fast enough. :drool:

these still go for about $ 150 this was a very high bid
well very nice cond in box
But on the right night
Really its not a rare box on yahoo
I bought one this year for less than $100
but well this was a safe bet most will be sold as junk
which will cut out the high bidders
but this usually only means belts in japan
you dont find to many idiots here trying to fix themselves
and stuffing them up
so the box is virgin inside
Really that is one of the most expensive ive ever seen in Japan
its not the norm
the other night we had tha M90
rough condition for that price
but still about $500

That's changed IMMENSELY in the last three years or so, Ira.
Since JAUC and other third parties have opened up yahoo.jp to the rest of the world prices are now
equal (and in some cases MUCH higher!) than eBay.

The days of getting a CFS-99 for $40 + shipping are well over I'm afraid.

For a boxed unused grail this is not a big surprise, I only expected it would go for
less than a grand.
And, real grail boomers in a good condition never go cheap in Japan those days.

Â¥65 000 ($534.83) to be precise.
But for me condition left something to be desired.

yes the international third party buyers have had an impact on prices
I live here and can take a gamble so well
I bought boxes for one yen + $15 shipping all fun
im shocked that these buyers will go so high and not know what they got till it gets there
a $50 box +$15 shipping its alll good
But when it gets to $500 + 100 shipping
And its put with fuzzy phooes and junk we dont have a cable to test
thats a risky
But there are auctions every night
The hunt goes on

Ebay Germany is a better deal these days, because the Euro is low right now. And shipping to the USA isn't really that bad, it's only about 50% more than it would be within the USA.
