Thought I'd share a quick vid of my 8560 that I done earlier. Thought I would show this box as it's pretty rare. Sorry about the quality of the vid but hope you enjoy the music  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-ofAuE15vI

Nice Toshiba. I alway dig how they put auto reverse in their bbx's
Yeah I wonder if they held a patent on it, because I can't think of another 1-piece with it.

Hummmm. I never thought about that???

Cool feature for sure.

We take so much for granted with our mp3 players and 100 hours of play back. But in 1982 putting on a 120 minute cassette with auto reverse was the way to go. More partying and less tape swapping.

I have noticed that toshiba makes many rt-8xxx models. Some are identical to bombeat US models. I believe the rt models were sold in Japan / Asia. I found the rt-8290s and it looks very similar. It doesn't have the vu meters (lcd lights instead), but it has auto reverse. I bought it for $120 on eBay....think I was lucky as it was put up as buy it now, and only had been posted 20 minutes earlier. I had been looking for months before that for a fully functional, average box, at a good price. I still can't find a deal like that and it has been a year of looking.

I don't know why my image comes in upside down. Sorry.
Upside down or not that is a sweet box, I prefer your's over mine  these autoreverse tosh's are pretty rare and I am very happy to have one :-)

Much appreciated. It was my first box (only have two), but I scored on this one. eBay is so overpriced it's insane. The build quality is excellent, though I can't compare it with the jvc's and sharp's that people with overpay for, leaving me on the sideline :( ...

Bro you playing d&b??? I didn't even catch that...lol. Do you get D&B cassettes? I can't find them....I tend to have a lot of vinyl (optiv, cause for concern, optical / ed rush, break, icicle, friction, prolix, gridlok...to name a few of my favorites).

Yeah it's kind of a d&b mash up of the ambient house classic papua new guinea :-) I do have some cassettes but mainly my own mix tapes. It's cool that you still play vinyl dude, I got rid of my vinyl years ago and now I mostly use my ipod to connect to boxes for ease of use

What do you mean Dave?
I guess you Matche were talking about types of music. I got the d&b being drum and bass, but when you went on to mention "ambient house classic papua new guinea" you lost me. I don't know if that's a type of music, a group or a song :-)

Ahh got ya mate :-) my bad I should of explained a little better  ambient house is a genre of music, the group is the future sound of london or FSOL for short, and the track name is papua new guinea.
